Hi, I was impressed with the article, but it raised a question I'd like to see an answer for. Would you be able to show screenshots of Code Reds A64 Tweaker for both the Gskill LE and the Corsair when they are both at the same speeds? I'd like to see what difference accounts for Corsairs small advantage in the tests and benches at like for like speed and timings. Thanks.

GazC: I will try to get that done in about 3-4 days. Family stuff in next 2 days will make it very difficult to do prior.

The DFI at least... haven't heard much about the Fatality series except for that AA8 but that one uses DDR II so doesn't count nice review btw | |

OCed my G.Skill and it behaves exactly the same as the Corsair. I'm stuck at 230mz. I can drop the multiplier to 11 and raise the FSB to 251 (2761) but anything over 2.8 with the CPU and I get errors in Memtest. I either have an "unlucky" cpu with an average memory controller, or the chipset of the A8V is holding me back like Jnav was talking about in the article. No, I'm not going to replace the MB because I'm happy with what I have and don't want to start over from scratch. From reading other message threads on the A8N, I'm noticing the same pattern that happened with the A8V. The A8N needs a bios update, and is not the best Ocer. Some do good, some are stuck. I predict Asus will come out with a Rev 2 of the A8N just like they did with the A8V.

Excellent review indeed, I joined the forum just to reply! I've been hunting down reviews and benches of how A64 s939 performs extensively, and you've summarized quite well how it all scales up. I'm buying a new setup right now, and am going to buy a NF4 mainboard (maybe 2: Asus & DFI), so I'm really interested in seeing some benches of those (and future) memories on the NF4 chipset! Keep up the good work
