noob
so 12 seconds for 1.6km STILL DOES NOT MEAN A THING TO ME.

useful value: 0->100km/h in seconds, now that gives some info to which I can relate

400meters

If you know top speed, distance and time, you can compute acceleration

hehe, yeah that's b/c I have unreal expectations sometimes. I figure with the $$$ I spend I should be getting better than average oc's. I think one reason I don't meet my expectations sometimes is I base my oc'ing goals on what I see other's obtaining. However, when I qualify my overclock, it's 24/7 stable and I think some people over-estimate their stability, ie they can run superpi 1mb run or they can run 3dmark 2001SE. If it won't prime95 overnight for me or loop 3dmark for 24+hours I don't consider it stable. I can bench much higher than my stable speeds, but again, that's only bench stable and such.

I will admit I'm very hard on hardware, but I push everything I have to extreme and if it passes it's good, if it breaks so be it.

into what does that translate for .EU people?

doesn't mean a thing to /me :/
Quarter mile run is really for American; I was in automotive industry for 8 years - manufacturing Pistons, Alternators, Starters, Cam, Timing Sprockets/chains, intake/exhaust valves, valve guides and got to know a lot of people in the industries.

For EU people, it is better to use the term 0-62 k/m run time.

My bike would do 0-62k/m in 3.8 second.

My 27 years OLD Datsun Z in 5.8 seconds
