Four way opteron server...
could this fold 4 instances of fah?

at 2.0 ghz... this would maim the charts me thinks

folding only uses 1 cpu I think.

yep you can use 4 folding instances, and have 4 times the folding power of a 1CPU system

1 system like that would probably produce 120-150 points / day

you mean , one can run 2 or more fold programs at once on 1cpu?
what would the result be ? more folding or two folders at half of the speed if one was folding.

Or was it just that every second third cpu on a motherboard in one pc makes a possibility to start a second third foldprogram ?

Running two instances on 1 CPU doesn't improve speed (maybe on hypertreading rigs...?), but it works.

If you have a dual CPU setup, you can dedicate fah to a specific CPU, so you could run 1 instance on each CPU.
