![]() | Since already now about 3 years, laptops are more than half the sales of microcomputers. While many of them probably will not go ever graze the green pastures of our campaign or breathe fresh air, remaining confined to our dark interior, it remains difficult to deny this growing trend at the very mobile and this still less with the growing success of "netbooks", or "smartphones".Within this insidious change a battle, that of operating systems. We all remember how Microsoft was taken aback by the success of the first netbooks and Linux distributions, before going back to resurrect a Windows XP even though they had already prepared several occasions the coffin. http://www.cowcotland.com/articles/5...elon-l-os.html

![]() | most batteries only carry a 6 month warranty (Dell, Acer and others) as their life depends on how you use it; if you regularly charge/discharge the battery it will live longer compared to just running it "plugged" in 24/7
