Icon17 XFX plans on 9800GTX Black Edition: GTX+ Performance & Price NOW!

Unlocked, Overclocked and already out there - XFX 9800 GTX XXX and Black edition….…..Why wait?

The news about the reviewed price position of 9800GTX and the upcoming 9800GTX+ is fantastic, but why wait until mid July to buy a 738Mhz card?

From next week we will be repositioning our XXX and BLACK EDITION product in the market, to be as competitively priced as our future GTX+ edition; with no 3 week delay.

XFX BLACK limited edition runs at a blazing 760Mhz, whilst the XXX edition which runs at an amazing 740Mhz on the core, giving the best price performance available; with memory and shader clocks to match (and beat)

GO EXCLUSIVE: To get the exclusive level of the Black Edition product XFX rigorously test all of our cards, then the top performers are initially set aside for the XXX branded products. Further testing takes place, including increased hot and cold chamber tests, and the best-of-the-best from this process are certified as “Black Edition” for their advanced performance and stability. Black Edition customers also receive priority Live Support and other incentives from XFX globally.

Why wait for a re-position when the ‘position’ already exists...

Hm, which means XFX 9800GTX+ XXX will be 800MHz+... those are some insane clockspeeds for just air.
