Inverness, IL., Dec. 1st, 2004-VisionTek, ATI's Premium Retail Partner in North America and a leading supplier of PC graphics accelerators, announced the official launch of its XTASY(tm) RADEON®(tm) X850 XT PCI Express Graphics Accelerator at ATI's "Xtreme Heights" launch event in San Francisco, California.

The VisionTek XTASY(tm) RADEON®(tm) X850 XT is based on ATI's award winning, highly scalable and programmable RADEON®(tm) X850 series visual processing unit (VPU). The X850 series utilizes native support for 16X PCI Express along with 256MB of next-generation, ultra fast and efficient 256-bit, quad-channel graphics DDR-3 (GDDR-3) memory, 16 parallel pixel pipes and 6 vertex pipes that churn out up to 200 GigaFLOPS per second, and a graphics core clock speed of an unbelievable 520Mhz. With Dual DVI-I, Video In-Video Out (VIVO), the XTASY(tm) 850XT produces crystal clear graphics on newer digital monitors in addition to older CRT (VGA) monitors-via DVI to VGA adapters, which are included with card.

The VisionTek XTASY X850 XT PCI-E 2D/3D graphics accelerator will be available at leading retailers, e-tailers and qualified distributors in early December.
