| Toshiba says HD DVD has not lost out to Blu-ray Toshiba Corp said on Sunday its HD DVD high-definition video format is not dead despite being dealt a big setback by Warner Bros studio's decision to exclusively back Sony Corp's rival Blu-ray technology. http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080107/...hiba_bluray_dc

| Of course that is what Toshiba is attempting to say during CES! The announcement last week was a heavy blow to Toshiba -- in fact, every CES attendee received an official CES bag that featured a "Toshiba HD DVD" logo on them! I think Toshiba is in trouble, regardless of what PR spin they try to put on it. |

| it won't be long for the remaining HD DVD supports to dual format support, or even change camp, all I can say is: hurray. As an end user there's nothing more wasteful then having invested into a dead technology
