September 29, 2004 – Think you can beat the best gamer in the world? Come to the World Cyber Games 2004 Grand Finals in San Francisco to test your skills! Johnathan “Fatal1ty” Wendel, the world's best-known PC gamer and recently crowned DOOM 3™ champion, will take on all challengers, including press, in another Fatal1ty Shootout™ presented by Creative Labs in association with ABIT. Look for Fatal1ty at Creative’s outdoor booth located near the Civic Center Plaza on October 7-9. The Fatal1ty Shootout™ will give WCG gamers the opportunity to challenge the 3-time CPL Champion of the Year, with a chance to win an array of prizes, for scoring points, even if they don't defeat him. Whoever manages to beat Fatal1ty, would be awarded a prize package with retail value of USD $1200+, including the First Ultimate Gaming motherboard ABIT Fatal1ty AA8.

Other events include an Overclocking Clinic hosted by ABIT and Corsair, maker of high-performance memory. The two leaders in computer gaming hardware will show attendees how to squeeze maximum performance from their gaming rigs using the ABIT AV8, AA8-3rd eye and Corsair memory.

Right after the OC Clinic, don’t miss the Gamer Tech Talk hosted by none other than gaming legend and superstar, Johnathan “Fatal1ty” Wendel. Fatal1ty will demonstrate how to increase “frames-per-second” and performance on DOOM 3™ using the complicated tweaks professional gamers do to their hardware and within the console of the game.
