The Bad: Part of drive that is affected the MOST in the read tests, is the inner part, which is where the highest transfer rates are. This affect could be minimized by partitioning the fastest portion of the drive as a separate logical drive letter and doing direct writes to the fastest partition. Also, different drives may have specifications that could result in better overall scores, which is why this is primarily an ENCLOSURE review, not a review applicable to their entire product line.
