Default Scythe SCKTN-1000 Katana Universal Heatpipe CPU Cooler

Today on the chopping block is the Scythe Katana CPU Cooler, a heat pipe based cooler for AMD and Intel alike. You can never have a cooler CPU these days, so anything that looks as big and mean as this bad boy has got to have some cooling power right?......

Beaten by Stock Cooler

Good or Bad, I found this type of cooler gaining popularity; even though most of the time it will have to be removed in order to replace PSU which is not often.

Surprises me actually. On the A64 it performed very good.

It did it marginally within error range stated at the roundup.

I guess (a big word), some people change for the sake of change; often times not for the better rather for conformance or peer pressure.

uhm, there is no dBA/sound measurement, so his temp results alone don't mean much

this Scythe cooler is dead silent, really really silent. Putting ear next to fan to hear it spin.. silent.
