 |  Samsung Launches Eco-Friendly 2TB Hard Drive Samsung EcoGreen F3EG hard drives in 3.5” form-factor are available in 1.5TB and 2TB versions, feature Serial ATA-300 interconnection protocol with Native Command Queuing support and come with either 16MB or 32MB buffer. Samsung declares 8.9ms average seek time as well as 5.56ms average seek time. Even though Samsung remains tight-lipped over exact power consumption of F3EG, it claims that the drive has 40% lower in power consumption in idle mode and 10% lower in reading/writing mode than competitive drives. http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/multime...ard_Drive.html
