Default RIP Hiper ?

Following our news on power supply returns rates, a reader let us know (thanks Abyss) that the company was no longer fulfilling any after sales support. Worse still, Hipergroup.com has been mute for a few days. In fact, we were informed that the company went bust this summer.

Seeing as Hiper has occupied last spot on our power supply reliability stats right from the start, this announcement isn’t very surprising. Nevertheless, its customers would seem to be in an impasse in respect of their product guarantees.

Hiper the well known power supply brand has gone bust as of 04/08/2009. Hiper directly contacted a member of staff at eBuyer.com to share with them the bad news.

"its happened today, none of the news sites will have reported it yet. thats why i was reluctant to confirm who it was as it's so recent. heard directly from hiper this morning - eBuyer Forums"

Now that the econmy has finaly stuck major brands It's sad to think who's next, Hiper PSU's were always top performers at affordable prices which always looked funky with high contrast colors. Take the Hiper X 520w for example!
Warrenty issues have yet to be confirmed but hounarble eBuyer will still serve the one year's warrenty.
