| Readers' Choice Awards 2005 Winners 2006 will be the year of dual core processors: It is amazing to see the dominance of the Athlon 64 X2 over the Pentium D in the voting. AMD is on a roll right now. The company is a perennial hardware enthusiast favorite, but recently it has started to see traction in the business community, and gained traction as a viable alternative to Intel. It's been a long time coming, but 2006 may well turn out to be AMD's biggest year, yet.
