| Qimonda supports EN8800GT from ASUS with 1Gb Memory Qimonda supports first EN8800GT graphics card model from ASUS with 1Gb Graphics memory Munich, December 7, 2007 – Qimonda AG, a leading supplier of memory products, today announced the first shipments of 1Gb GDDR3 Graphics memory for the new Asustek EN8800GT / 1GB Graphics cards. “Qimonda is proud to offer ASUS this ultimate memory solution. The 1Gb GDDR3 is a key product for the Graphics market in 2008. Being chosen as the exclusive supplier for the product ramp affirms Qimonda’s position as the leading Graphics memory supplier”, said Robert Feurle, Vice President of Business Unit Graphics at Qimonda. “We are pleased that Qimonda is the first memory supplier delivering leading edge 1Gb GDDR3 to ASUS to ensure our launch of the EN8800GT graphics card model”, said C.P. Wu, General Manager of ASUS graphics and multimedia business. GDDR3 is the current memory standard for high performance Graphics DRAM. With the 1Gb GDDR3 offered by Qimonda, frame buffer densities are possible of up to 1GB with only 8 pieces of DRAM. With a memory frequency up to 1GHz, data rates of 8GBytes /s can be achieved to target the frame buffer and speed needs of high performing Desktop Graphic. Due to its high density and the comparable low power consumption the 1Gb GDDR3 memory is also ideally suited for the next generation of notebooks. Qimonda’s advanced 75nm technology allows an additional power reduction by reducing the memory voltage to 1.5V from today’s 1.8V notebook standard. Qimonda is also preparing for the next Graphics memory standard GDDR5 and has already shipped the first samples. GDDR5 volume production will start mid of 2008. About Qimonda Qimonda AG (NYSE: QI) is a leading global memory supplier with a broad diversified DRAM product portfolio.
