Default OCZ May Ready Water-Cooling Solutions

Continuing with our coverage of Insider Reports regarding OCZ today, another insider confirmed that OCZ might have plans to introduce a water-cooling solution sometime in the future to not only compete against the cooling manufacturers, but to also take a step further in competition against Corsair. As you know, Corsair has partnered with cooling companies such as Swiftech and Delphi to develop its COOL water-cooling system, which it launched earlier this year.

At the moment OCZ is not working on a water-cooling solution, with the company’s focus mainly on reentering the air-cooling segment, but it does have plans to cater to enthusiasts wherever necessary. According to the source, OCZ has history of introducing interesting and high performance products such as its Voltage eXtreme and Gamer eXtreme memory modules that perform exceptionally well. The company also has its PowerStream line of PSUs with adjustable voltage rails, an exclusive and productive idea in itself. Judging OCZ from its past, it wouldn’t be a surprise if OCZ did come up with a water-cooling solution, which would truly be designed and tested for enthusiasts, OCZ’s main target group.

Although Corsair and dedicated cooling manufacturers have nothing much to worry about at the moment, times could change rapidly should OCZ enters the market with a water-cooling kit designed for extreme overclocking support.
