Default OCZ Fatal1ty 550W Power Supply

With many of today’s 1000W+ power supplies designed for 2 and 4 video card setups and multiple hard drives and possibly CPUs, these power supplies cost a pretty penny. But what about your average gamer/enthusiast’s computer? A single, high mid-high power CPU and video card and maybe a couple hard drive, these kilowatt power supplies are simply overkill. Factor in that most power supplies reach their peak efficiency at around 50% load, the argument for a lower capacity power supply only makes sense. Let’s take a look at one such power supply aimed squarely at gamers: OCZ’s Fatal1ty 550W.
