New interface will integrate dual-channel ddr3 memory controller because these processors only have dual-channel memory controller. Lynnfield will be more suitable for users than Nehalem.


P55 adopts single chip design, named Platform Controller Hub（PCH），which features all I/O characteristics of ICH design. It is said that Ibex Peak, equipped with Lynnfield/Havendale becomes Summitlake. It supports SLI and Crossfire x8/x8 multichrome technology.
