 |  Microsoft Replacing Xbox Live Voice Chat with Skype In a move to consolidate its communications technology, Microsoft will be replacing voice chat with Skype. Microsoft has been moving in the direction of voice communications consolidation within the company since the acquisition of Skype in 2011.
