Microsoft and AMD Support CCTV Olympic WebTV for Broadcasting High Definition and Interactive Contents

Mr. Samuel Shen and Mr. Vanoy Wang delegated Microsoft and AMD respectively to give address to the launch of CCTV WebTV Olympics Channel in Beijing, on July 28. As the main contributors, Microsoft and AMD were conferred by CCTV for full technical support to the largest communication platform in the history of Olympics ever.

The CCTV Olympics WebTV (http://www.cctvolympics.com/) provides tremendous amount of information and diversified communication platforms to audiences, which derives from the advanced technology applied. Basing on powerful processors from AMD, Microsoft deploys Web 2.0 technologies to create information platforms that make all kinds of specific information about Olympics can be easily accessed by click though. Additionally, communication platforms built by Microsoft deliver bran-new experience about Olympics to audiences via MSN, Space, blog, Photo Album, Forum and so on running on over 1,000 AMD Barcelona based servers.
