Default Metro Exodus to use Hairworks, PhysX and RTX

The upcoming Metro Exodus game from 4A Games is probably one of the most anticipated games that will be coming in February 2019, and according to known details, it will be using some of the Nvidia RTX technologies, as well as Hairworks and PhsyX.

Back at the Gamescom 2018 and at Nvidia's RTX event, Metro Exodus was showcased with some Nvidia RTX technologies, including the Ray Traced Ambient Occlusion, which gives a much better use of indoor lighting, which looked quite impressive.

According to the PCGameshardware.de site, it appears that in addition to those RTX technologies, 4A Games will also implement both Nvidia PhysX as well as Hairworks, for some additional eye-candy.

Of course, all of these will be optional and can be disabled for those running on non-RTX or AMD Radeon graphics cards, although PhysX and Hairworks should work on the Geforce GTX series.

The trailer that was shown during Gamescom 2018 was still a bit choppy as far as we could tell but since the game is scheduled for launch in February 22nd, 2019, there is still enough time for optimizations and both the developer and Nvidia were positive it will all be good.
