![]() | ![]() We were going to write-up a quick apples-to-apples comparison of the Lost Planet Demo in DX9 mode and DX10 mode on the ATI Radeon HD 2900 XT and GeForce 8800 GTS 640 MB for fun. However, we encountered major bugs with the HD 2900 XT right now in DX10 mode with all driver sets available, it is not rendering everything in the game, snow is missing, textures are corrupt, effects are missing, so an apples-to-apples comparison is impossible. DirectX 9 mode worked fine with no glitches though. From the performance I saw, on average, the HD 2900 XT was slower with Anti-Aliasing enabled in DX9 mode compared to the 8800 GTS. Without AA enabled however the game was a few average frames per second faster than the GeForce 8800 GTS in DX9. Here is what we had gathered in DX9 mode. http://www.hardocp.com/news.html?news=MjU4NTQsLCwsLCwx
