Over the last six months or so, Flash media has started to become very affordable. The same 128Mb flash drive you might have paid fifty bucks for two years ago can now be had for fewer than twenty dollars. This applies to other types of flash media as well, including Compact Flash, Secure Digital, and Media Stick. So, people are much less opposed to springing for that shiny new digital camera or camcorder that utilizes these media types. More than ever, having a card reader available will make keeping all these formats compatible with your PC much easier.
