Default LCD, plasma TVs grew by 90 per cent in first quarter

SALES OF LCD and plasma TVs grew by 90 per cent in the first calendar quarter of this year compared to the previous quarter, and by 41 per cent compared year on year.

But while Samsung is the biggest brand name for global television shares, that doesn't mean it just shipped LCD TVs. Market research firm Isuppli said that the Korean giant continues to ship large numbers of CRT TVs to developing nations.
