![]() | ![]() New motherboards deliver a performance leap for mainstream systems Support latest Intel® process and up to 16GB of memory Yantai, China, July 14 2008 – FOXCONN announce a new generation of mainstream-performance motherboards based on the Intel® P45 chipset. Optimized for the latest Intel® CoreTM 2 Extreme, Core™2 Quad and Core™ 2 Duo processors up to 1600(oc)MHz FSB, the P45A-S and P45A motherboards promise outstanding performance and exceptional value for money when building mainstream systems with great performance capability. Install up to 16GB of memory Both motherboards support an astonishing 16GB of Dual Channel DDR2 1066/800/667MHz memory – ideal for desktop media encoding systems or running other applications which benefit from additional installed memory. CrossFireX™ enabled for better gaming ![]() Improved system control and monitoring With FOXCONN’s proprietary FoxOne™ Premium technology onboard, users can make additional performance enhancements with ease; the Windows-based control panel enables adjustments to FSB, memory and PCIe frequencies, along with voltage controls for CPU, memory and chipset northbridge. FoxOne™ Premium also includes extensive temperature monitoring and fan speed adjustments at the click of a mouse! Multi-streaming audio Providing the basis of a true performance system, the P45A motherboard range also enables multi-streaming 7.1 channel HD audio. Users can play audio from different sources and deliver it to different rooms in the house, or play games with headphones and still play music in their living room, for instance. Solid reliability and performance FOXCONN have used a 100% SOLID Capacitor* design to improve reliability and overall system stability. Solid capacitors typically last around 6 times longer than their electrolytic counterparts. ![]() Make more connections The P45A series includes all the latest connectivity technologies to enable the construction of a highly-adaptable PC. 6x SATAII and 1x eSATA connectors are provided, for super-fast, reliable access to data. eSATA transfers data up to 6 times faster than USB2.0 making it the connection of choice in today’s ‘high-bandwidth’ digital world. 2x IEEE1394a are also provided (P45A-S only), with one connector on the rear I/O for convenient access to multimedia devices. A total of 12* USB2.0 (4 on rear I/O) are included, and even 1x ATA 133 connector for legacy devices. Availability: The P45A-S and P45A are available in worldwide distribution channel shortly.
