![]() | Motherboard shipments from first-tier makers – Asustek Computer, Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS), Gigabyte Technology, and Micro-Star International (MSI) – totaled 104.86 million units in 2005, up 18% from 88.51 million units the previous year, according to the companies. Motherboard shipments from Asustek, ECS, Gigabyte and MSI reached 10.11 million units in December of last year, up 22% from 8.30 million units in December 2004. In the fourth quarter of 2005, the four companies shipped 32.25 million motherboards, rising 23% from 26.22 million units during the same period in 2004. Asustek posted consolidated revenues of NT$34.28 billion (US$1.1 billion) in December, rising 38% from last year.
