| Facebook Denies Accessing Users Text Messages In an article posted in London's Sunday Times, Facebook was reported to have used smartphone apps to monitor user's personal information. The article went on to name several other social sites participating in the same practices. Facebook has responded to the allegations by stating categorically that the report was incorrect. It sounds much like another round of Path type intrusions are about to be exposed. The report also says information such as user location, contacts list, and browser history are often accessed and sometimes transmitted to third-party companies, including advertisers. http://www.hardocp.com/news/2012/02/...text_messages/ |
