| Creative Soundblaster nForce 4 chipset issue, Is AMD Delaying 65nm? We have learned that Soundblaster has another issue with an AMD chipset. You may remember the Live and driver issues surrounding VIA chipsets which are almost legendary largely because of Creative’s refusal to do anything about the issue. Well now they have another issue on their hands that can arise when your system has an nForce 4 chipset and the X-Fi XtremeMusic and X-Fi Platinum. More details are available here. http://www.amdzone.com/modules.php?o...rder=0&thold=0 We also have details on AMD’s delay of 65nm technology in Fab 36 as we show AMD stating that Fab 36 would not use 90nm. http://www.amdzone.com/modules.php?o...rder=0&thold=0 I really think Mr. Sonderman should be asked why he stated that fab 36 would be 65nm from the start, when the company line is now that the fab will be 'substantially converted to 65nm by 2007'. I suppose he could wiggle out of his statements by saying he was referring to R&D activities within the FAB counting as 65nm manufacturing, if it was not for one detail.
