Default CoolIT Freezone CPU Cooler

After having used some of the better water cooling systems on the market it was quite evident that they were not able to handle the hot humid days of summer. So when we spoke to the nice guys from CoolIT Systems at CES back in January we appeared to have found some devices that might be able to satisfy our summer heat problems. Today we are reviewing the CoolIT Freezone CPU Cooler.

This seems like a spectacularly good cooler.
When can we expect to see the Madshimps quality testing on it?

I have been hearing that "damaged in transport" reason regarding CoolIT's Eliminator and Freezone coolers at half a dozen sites. If I was going to buy one it I'd expect it to arrive "damaged in transport" as well.

If you'd pick up from a store, it'll probably won't be damaged. Of course, it's unacceptable that so many samples get damaged (and about what kind of damage are we talking about ? )

notice what the reviewer states

Each item is separated in the Styrofoam case so there is minimal chance of damage during transportion to the user.

Sorry, I don't remember most of the links else I would have listed them for better effect. Of the ones I do remember I can't link to them. Bjorn3d.com had this issue twice though, I don't recall if it was the Freezone or the Eliminator.

I've seen at least several complaints on etailer listings as well. Of those that said what the problem was, something in the unit gets knocked out of whack which adversly affected the cooling performance. Only the newer Eliminator ships in the cellular membrane foam block, the Freezone is still a basic styrofoam packing crate that will go to pieces after one solid hit in the right spots.
