![]() | ![]() BIOSTAR Launches 2nd TPOWER X58 Chipset Mother Board BIOSTAR MICROTECH INT’L CORP., a professional manufacturer of motherboards today announced the BIOSTAR TPOWER X58A. Among all X58 products, TPOWER X58, released by BIOSTAR and belonging to the top TPOWER series has become power users’ focus with best motherboard design, materials, and excellent over clocking features. BIOSTAR has now extended X58 family - TPOWER X58A which is also from the top product series. TPOWER X58A supports whole new Nehalem-frame CPU, LGA1366 socket, and makes use of advanced QPI (QuickPath Interconnect) whose data transfer speed is 5 times faster than FSB. TPOWER X58A layout is extraordinarily well-designed, with 12+2-phase power supply, 12-phase CPU power supply, and extra 2-phase memory over clocking power supply to provide over clocking power. Whole Japanese PS solid capacitors, being excellent filters, as well as whole-seal inductors greatly contribute stable power to the system. As for system cooling, aluminum alloy heat sink and MOS Tube have been well installed to help cooling the system. BIOSTAR TPOWER X58A is equipped with powerful tri-channel memory slots, 3 graphics slots, 1 PCI-E 1X slot and 2 PCI slots. These tri-channel memory slots accord with DDR3 memory specification, supporting 800/1066/1333/1600 (OC) / 1866 (OC) MHz DDR3. With DDR3 high-frequency and low-power consumption features, both Intel's new Core i7 processors and X58 chipset create amazing system performance. BIOSTAR TPOWER X58A also supports SLI™ and CrossFireX™ technology. The rear panel added with the optical interface and 8 USB ports provides convenient and flexible connection. With Realtek ALC888S 8+2 HD audio and GbE LAN, TPOWER X58A therefore can make power users enjoy supreme audio and graphics performance. Furthermore, TPOWER X58A is equipped with enhanced digital debug LEDs and quick switches so that power users can test over clocking much easier. Side Plugging SATA connectors can be used to connect SATA devices conveniently. The motherboard provides Core i7 platform with newly developed energy-saving G.P.U (Green Power Utility) technology and a set of G.P.U software; users are able to adjust power consumption manually or automatically. Judging from the current system loading condition, TPOWER X58A could turn on or turn off some power supply modules and optimize power phase wisely. Whether CPU loading is light or idle, the extra phase circuits will be turned off to avoid unnecessary waste of energy. When users over clock, CPU voltage and current, depending upon the system loading condition, could decrease automatically to succeed in saving energy. Through a series of test of G.P.U, BIOSTAR TPOWER X58A, integrated with the energy-saving technology, has been proved that it can save energy loss by up to 80% than traditional motherboards. Lower energy loss not only can save more power, but also maintain lower operating temperature. Most importantly - computers can live longer!
