The Best of 2005: X-bit Labs Readers’ Choice Awards

The results of our annual 2005 Readers’ Choice poll have been summarized and the winners have been finally identified. 18 prestigious awards have been given by over 30,000 of regular X-bit labs readers. Let’s find out, who the winners are!

What surprises me was Asus graphic card and Acer notebook. For Asustek to give up the major OEM mainboard contract a couple of years ago and gain such as status in graphic card proves the company is focus on goal setting and getting the job done right. Acer used to be big in OEM desktops shows they can meet Dell head on in notebook segment.

I am glad Toshiba/Samsung optical drive did not even have a spot on the chart as my 3 months old DVD/RW drive dropped dead suddernly without saying goodbye.

You could disagree with the findings totally, meaning you are the minority of the opinion which is considered in the pie chart. You are there, just a bit smaller

For me ASUS is the worst graka maker of the year.
I bought a 6800le from asus, died within a week. The replacement a month later and now im gonna have to wait for rma becouse the dealer where i bought it doesnt have such cards anymore
