Default back-to-school laptop shootout

Our tests featured an HP, a Toshiba, a Sony VAIO, and a Lenovo because all four brands feature Vista Home Premium computers that you can pick up at any local store. Hopefully, by the end of this review I'll have eased some of the confusion you might have while walking down the aisles. (As an aside, if you're wondering why there aren't Dell or Gateway laptops in this roundup, it's because they couldn't make our time frame for the roundup. However, we will be following up with products from both shortly.)
