Default ATI's Momentum in Workstation Graphics Continues to Build

Growth in OEM Market Matched With Channel Success

MARKHAM, ON/ Munich, Germany - April 12, 2005 - Leading Workstation System Integrators (WSIs) have selected ATI's FireGL(tm) Visualization series of PCI Express-based graphics accelerators, complimenting over 15 major OEM design wins for these industry leading products. WSIs who have recently selected FireGL graphics include Alienware, Boxx, Colfax, Hypersonic, Leading Technology Micro Inc. (LTI), Maxxvision, Monarch, Polywell, Sys Technologies, Velocity, Xi Computer and the3Dshop.com. ATI Technologies Inc. (TSX:ATY, NASDAQ:ATYT), has succeeded in securing wide-spread industry support for its FireGL graphics accelerators, delivering a broad range of solutions with industry leading performance and features at affordable prices.

"Performance, innovation, reliability and support those are the key attributes of every BOXX workstation. ATI's FireGL accelerators are the secret sauce to create extraordinary 3D graphics for the world's fastest personal workstations," said Reese Gautschi, Director of Marketing, BOXX Technologies, Inc.

"As System Integrators we have a mandate to configure our systems according to what the customer demands and we're now building with FireGL graphics, because this is what our customers are asking for," said Patrick Cooper, Director of Product Management for Alienware. "ATI recognizes the unique requirements of those who require professional level graphics on a day-to-day basis and our customers respond to that dedication by choosing FireGL workstation graphics."

"ATI understands that it is not enough to just have the best products out on the market, but that it is critical to have strong business partnerships as well," said Trey Harris, Founder, Monarch Computer.com. "As a new addition to ATI's Workstation Partner Program, Monarch Computer.com has benefited first hand from the support and resources the program provides as a member, be it technical support or sales training - which ultimately results in us being able to serve our customers more effectively."

"As our FireGL line-up has grown and expanded to offer top performance at different price points, our channel partners have responded by selecting products from entry-level to high-end," said Dave Rolston, Vice President and General Manager of Workstation and Embedded Products, ATI. "Our channel partners react quickly to what customers are asking for - and repeatedly, they are choosing FireGL workstation graphics accelerators."

With its Workstation Partner Program (WPP), ATI offers channel partners leading-edge hardware acceleration technologies at each of the market's price bands. Partners enrolled in the program may access a full complement of resources such as discounted demo boards, online listings, product presentations, sales training, and dedicated technical support.

ATI's FireGL products are supported by a unified driver, which is tested and certified by professional 3D ISV partners, making system administration and upgrades cost effective and simple. All FireGL products come with a three year warranty and unlimited direct access to a dedicated workstation technical support team.
