ATI Announces New AM2 Core Logic

ATI has announced its latest core logic chipsets for AMD's AM2 platform. Two new chipsets are being announced for AM2: the Radeon Xpress 1100 and the Radeon Xpress 1150. Also new is the SB600 series southbridge which offers support for ten USB 2.0 ports, four SATA-II ports, RAID, HD Audio and legacy support for PATA devices. Native Command Queuing (NCQ) is also present on the southbridge. The SB600 southbridge supports both AMD and Intel platforms.
