| Asustek Facing An Overstock of 965 Motherboards? Sources at channel vendors have reported that first-tier motherboard maker Asustek Computer is facing an overstock of 965 chipset-based motherboards. Other first-tier makers such as Gigabyte Technology and Micro-Star International (MSI) recently dropped prices for their newer Intel 3-series motherboards forcing Asustek to follow suit. This has resulted in Asustek's own 965 and 3-series motherboards being in competition with each other in the market, noted the sources. http://www.digitimes.com/mobos/a20070807PD220.html

| Yup, P35 motherboards are available at same price as P965, and between the two it's clear which one to go for (P35).

| True to an extend, based on the number of DYI versus OEM sales I'd say slower sales to forecast is the result. All thanks to Vista not being picked up.
