 |  Asus jumps the gun, announces Nvidia Optimus-equipped laptops Through a newly-issued Asus has declared itself a launch partner for the Nvidia Optimus technology and revealed several N, U and UL series laptops which make use of it. Optimus is a re-enacting of Hybrid SLI, a solution that combines Intel's new 32nm processors which feature integrated graphics, with Nvidia-branded discrete GPUs to enable the making of laptops that have a longer battery life but, when needed, can also handle some more serious gaming.
