And carefully insert the other side of the clip on the three tabs on the tall side of the cpu base. Since the clip does not work by a "spring action", this may take a little time. After properly positioning the clip, tighten the screw. This retaining clip is really not any more difficult to install than the standard ones with a spring action.

WHY oh WHY doesn't AMD let AC supply the Stock fan at least for their higher end CPUs? They sure would come up with a cost effective silent solution.

14 $ for a retail! cooler, the cost for making that the boxed one would probably be much lower.

indeed, same idea here, and the costs would even be lower because they'll get them in large quantities.
Good cooler, it's as cool as my SLK947U w/ 92mm fan
