I like Kyle[H]'s comment on this PC:

"Alienware, our least favorite builder of what we like to call, "overpriced DIY systems," is touting the sale of NVIDIA SLI systems. They are also touting ship dates of December, 2004. They look to be using a dual Xeon motherboard that would use the "Tumwater" chipset from Intel. My thoughts are that NVIDIA's own nForce 4 chipset will be the way to go for SLI gamers out there, as it will likely give you better performance while not raping your wallet. Alienware's basic SLI system is priced at the low low bend over and grab your ankles price of $6,077.00. It should be noted that you do get free shipping with that...for a limited time.

NVIDIA is telling us that AMD Athlon 64 SLI capable motherboards will be available for under $200.00 after initial supply and demand has settled a bit."

We all can "imagine" the "type" of person spending $6000 and over for an assembled Personal Computer.

1) For the sake of free shipping,
2) For tax deduction purpose,
3) From "the US Senate".

I could think of more; unsuitable for public viewing.

No, I don't think he would go for assembled unit. He might spend over $10,000 that he could tweak. Or, did I under estimated him.
