Default wich ram ?

hi

since I sold my bh5, I'm searching other ram that doesn't need a voltmod if that's possible

i've seen something that the cas latency ( 2 / 2.5 / 3 ) doesn't matter when you're using an A64, is that right?

Is dual channel slower than single channel?
I'm using a s754 with a newcastle 3000+.
With my corsair pc3500C2V1.1 i went to a 240fsb on cas2.5 on 2.9V
( 2400mhz stable )

also i don't know if i should buy 512 again or 1024, becouse the difference in the price is much.

Is that correct that ( superpi ) 1gb is slower than 512?

and wich ram should i buy to go very high in the fsb? ( using a waterchiller )

get some tccd ram

search the forum and you'll find enough info about that ram

edit: ATI has a big problem with Xpress 200

not true entirely, cas latency still has impact on performance, but less so when compared to ram on Athlon XP

faster.

if you run timings of CL2.5 3-3-10 you will reach ~250Mhz at 2.7-2.8v with those Samsung TCCD powered memory sticks

performance is games wil increase quite a bit with 1gb vs 512Mb; but if it is too costly, 512mb should do fine

Again, the TCCD with 2.7-2.8v and relaxed timings, should be able to hit close to 300Mhz FSB if your motherboard can cope with it

@ maniak , thanks for the link
@ vulk, stupid mistake
@ jmke, maybe I should ask my question on an other way

Is one stick better than two sticks ? ( d.ch. ) on a s754?

s754 is single channel, one stick should do it.

Even though I'd buy two sticks, just a matter of upgrading .
