yes, and how much dx9 games (not demos!, games!) are available now for playing?

in dx9/fsaa/af ofcourse the 5700/9600 will gain ground and overtake but with current games, it won't be a big difference...
I know tom's isn't the greatest for this but check this graph...
http://www20.tomshardware.com/graphi...ournament_2003
look at
fx5700u : 70 fps
9600 xt : 70
ti4600 : 66

and in call of duty the ti4600 even wins bigtime!
http://www20.tomshardware.com/graphi...charts-05.html

fx5700u: 98
9600xt :95
ti4600 :101

wc3 frozen throne : all three within 1 fps...

if you play halo using dx9 : you get about 37 fps with fx5700u en 9600 xt, when you use the other ps dx8 for ti4600 you get about the same speed, sure you miss some dx9 gimmicks but it's just as playable...

and look at this : http://www20.tomshardware.com/graphi...charts-15.html

call of duty withh 4*fsaa shows :
fx5700u : 68.4
9600 xt: 59.7
ti4600 : 54...
still playable on the ti4600... just as good as 9600xt...

with af, it shows about the same differences... 9600 is now on top and ti4600 is equivalent to 5700u here...

sure, when you play the farcry demo on a ti4600, it's no fun seeing it sloooow down, but farcry won't be released until april anyway... then nextgen is here

I think I made two points :
1. an overclocked ti4600 can run along till next gen cards arrive
2. this is THE calmest week in the last year, nobody is friggin sick, the doc is without work
