Okay, now I get it.
Go for the full boat; otherwise, you're kidding with yourself. Plus, the main radiator(s) is better be outside of case.

Now that will give me something to think about.

playing around with different fan speeds and settings I was able to go from 61°C without CV to 55°C with CV

(with the CPU fan running at 70% of full speed to be exact)

room temp: 20°C

I am hoping to sell a few more CV then.

It knocks off 8C on my video card; still searching for FX5900XT .... I am cheap.

I have 4 R9000 - two Pro and two non-pro

The pro default 275/275 OC'ed to 301/301
The non pro (passive heatsink) default 250/200 OC'ed to 301/245
Even my old Gforce 2 default 200/166 are running 225/183 (SDRAM)

fixed all my boot problems by removing the custom back plate , discovered this at a lanparty, 3am in the morning when the system suddenly shut down without apparant reason.

with a flashlight stuck in my mouth I unscrewed the board and removed the backplate, system has been running flawlessly since then!

:wtf: indeed
