| P4 Mobile Hello folks, ive got a small question... My dad dropped his notebook (hp compaq nx9010) and the screen is all broken and the head of the HD broke off, but all the rest is in perfect condition. So i took out the ramm's to sell them and the cpu also, but now ive noticed the cpu is also a socket 478 and i was asking myself if it is possible to put this cpu whish is pretty good (3.06Ghz) in an ATX motherboard ? Maybe it will with a bios flash or somthing but it would be nice to have this working, then it wouldn't be sush a drama... Greets, Gert-Jan |

| http://reviews.cnet.com/HP_Compaq_nx....html?tag=spec http://reviews.designtechnica.com/review1472.html Don't see any reason it won't work. Many are just plain desktop processor with BIOS lowering speed in FSB and reduces voltage. I could be dead wrong; the last Intel laptop I had was using the same desktop processor.

| Yes it works. But the cpu, presuming it's mobile, will work on lowest multiplier
