I cant install drivers>>so I cant game!

I have a problem>>when I install my vga drivers my computer doesnt to start any more. It starts till the windows welcome screen and it crashs then. I have a 9800xxl from a medion computer>>>my computer isnt medion :P. It's a 9800pro with an xt bios.
When I install drivers I need to start it in safe mode or I need to start it in the last working mode. I dont know what to do I tried different drivers, drivers from the ati site, drivers from the cd everything! and it doesnt work.
And I cant play games without the drivers!!

Please help me

are you sure you totally removed all other drivers that were installed on your computer prior to installing the new ati ones?
you might want to try something like before attempting to install new drivers.

also, are you sure the 9800XXL actually works at 9800XT? have you seen it work before? or did you just buy it / flash it?

and what do you mean with "doesnt see the vid card"? you mean in system he doesn't recognise the card as an 9800XXL / 9800XT? or doesn't he list any screen adapters at all?

Default new hdd doesnt work normal

I have a asus p5p800-EAYZ motherboard
Bios version 1401
The computer worked good before with a IDE hdd, I installed a new SATAII Seagate
ST3320620AS and placed the jumper for sata1
This worked one day at 73MB/s but after this the system became very slow and the speed of the hdd was just 3MB/s
I connected the hdd on the second sata connector and the system worked properly for one day and it became slow again
I tried a new SATA cable but this made no difference
