howto : backup a windows cd?

I want to make a backup of my mindows XP 64 bit cd but I need it to stay bootable? how do I do this properly?

(last time I made a backup of a windows cd, it wasn't bootable anymore).

PS: yes I googled, yes I probably still suck at googling cuz I didn't find anything usefull...

Drag & Drop each folder & icon, (AutoRun, included) exactly like you see them in Explorer. Don't burn "On the Fly", instead, copy the disk verbatum into a New Folder, then copy the contents of New Folder into your Burner, .....the contents, not the folder!!

and it won't be BOOTABLE

you can't see the booting part in normal browsing.
