Default CDwriter dead or alive?

I have some probs with my cd writer (TEAC CD-W512EB). I have Nero burning Rom (new edition downloaded from site, just using the demo version, no crack used)
When it begins with the writing of the lead-in, it makes the following error.

Quote:
13:11:58 #22 MMC -1176 File ThreadedTransferInterface.cpp, Line 994
Session fixation error
13:11:58 #23 TRANSFER -19 File ThreadedTransferInterface.cpp, Line 994
Could not perform Fixation
13:11:58 #24 Text 0 File Mmc.cpp, Line 12699
<TEAC CD-W512EB > start Close Session
13:11:59 #25 Phase 38 File dlgbrnst.cpp, Line 1655
Burn process failed at 12x (1.800 KB/s)
13:11:59 #26 Text 0 File Scsicmd.cpp, Line 406

20 out of 20 temporary buffers allocated
Those cd's were Taiyo Yuden.
I have tried it also with EMTEC cd (700mb. The burning failed once again.

Could it be that it has something to do with SCSI probs because before the error occured the log displays these SCSI errors

For the TY cd's
