If that UD5 is up for the task, it would be a nice benching platform for the team.

I'm with you

Thx Albrecht

Meanwhile in Teemto's kitchen...

...The smell of a freshly backed HD3870X2 filled the room.

Testing Asus HD3870X2 ROG. Card showed P8P67 bios startup screen then went blank. So after removing fan assembly, placed it in the oven for 10min at 200°C (thus the smell ).

Card seemed to run fine but AM3 and 3DMark01 scores were crap:
AM3 (CPU at 5.3) 920/1100 = 268098
3DM01 (CPU at 5.3) 920/1100 = 88395
It's not in the drivers, tried 11.3 and 11.2 where 11.2 gave slightly better scores but still too low.

Feels like crossfire isn't running like it should on this card

card throttling Pascal ? Tried lower clocks ?

You really should take the gamble to go sometimes with older drivers... 9.4 - 9.12 for 01/03 ( far better nature scores...) sometimes messing with the catalyst control center messes it up too and it goes single gpu...

Card isn't throttling. Even at default clocks I get or should I say got crap scores. Meanwhile it's again blank screen. Cooking experiment didn't last.
Zal toch es SOSPiet moeten bellen

* Next card : waiting for an 8400GS

Otherwise I'll start choosing one of the cards as first try with mounting the phase.

*8400GS is major dissapointment. Real crappy card, not even worthy of posting scores.

Lukily second 8800GTS640 has arrived, so time for some SLI benching.
Too bad this second one isn't volt modded yet.

* 8800GTS640 SLI: 20.5 points total, 1 Golden cup

Next in line are an X600, 7800GT, GTX295 and 8800GTS512.
The last 2 should provide some decent points.
