Default P4c800 limits

I have jst read the review that you have where u use an ASUS P4C800 and a 3Ghz P4 and overclock it to over 4ghz.

I have the same setup and I am using 512mb OCZ pc4000 gold.

I am watercooling my system with a DD maze 4 and I cannot get my fsb above 245. I have my voltage set at 1.75v and my mem voltage at the max option of 2.85v.

Can anyone know if it would be possible to clock higher.

sounds like your P4 3ghz has reached its limit. If you want higher clocks you'll need lower temps

remember, I did that article with a Prometeia.
on air, that PIV doesn't want to go higher then 3.6 ghz stable, no matter what volt I use.

if that 345mhz is stable, nice OC btw.

ps, if you are using one stick of that memory, buy another one, so you can use Dual Channel, you will gain much more power than your OC now.

The highest temps that I am getting after running Prime95 is 31C. I am currently using 2 sticks of OCZ. It is anoying me as I was hoping to get 250 fsb as that what the memory would go to on a 1:1 ratio. But i guess I can complain. Cheers guys

31°C are good temps, but as mentioned by Gamer, to reach 4ghz he needed subzero cooling

the latest cpu's can reach 4 Ghz on H²O, but it's all about luck.

this cpu was one of the first in Belgium, and if you ask me, best buy ever (have it for almost a year now).
