don't these people learn from their mistakes. those max series sold quite bad

huh?
this is no MAX board, there are PS/2 connectors on there.

this board has apparantly better hardware monitoring support and software overclocking features.

MAX2 had PS/2 connectors afaik.
just too much usb/firewire/sound etc onboard. i like it plain

first thing I do is turn them off in the bios
but I can imagine that some people will like it.

some boards nowadays.

8 usb 2.0 ports, who is using all of them ? And the board won't probably be capable of feeding al your devices
