Default 2600+ downclocked to 1700+ ?

http://www.vr-zone.com/#2909

XP 1600+ is expected to be even cheaper than XP 1700+ which is priced at US$54 and we can expect great overclockability from this chip like the 1700+ and 2100+.

What's next ? A 1500+ for 20 EUR that will run at 3000+ ?

shops are already dropping the XP1700+/XP1800+ from their productlist.. don't think there is a big chance we'll see the XP1600+ reintroduced here

I was able to run my computer at performance greater than that of a 3.06GHz Pentium 4, a chip costing over 10 times as much. If you thought it was unclear who was winning the price - performance war, I think this pretty much makes the point moot.
