Ever tried to keep your X58 motherboards IOH and ICH temps at a reasonable operating temperatures ? To be honest most of the stock heatsinks really need some help as they are underdimensioned and/or lack an active fan. Temperatures over 65°C are very comon. Many watercooling companies jumped on the wagon to manufacture a all in one cooling solution for all the hot parts of the mainboard. No seperate waterblocks for the IOH and ICH chipset or PWM area. For those that want to have every hot component under control temp wise, there's no way of getting around some nice looking waterblocks for your motherboard. If you can get a full waterblock like this EK version, then you are in for a real treat.

Looking at the build quality which is second to none. Very nice CNC milling ; no sharp edges, no residus,...  perfect craftmanship. The design is also worth every penny. And then we aren't even talking about the looks. Decide which version you want : either this georgous nickle plated version or the more classic looking acetal version.



Okay these blocks don't come cheap and will cost you 130 euros. However looking at the build quality, the choice of components and the supreme cooling performance it's the best way to tame your hot running X58 Rampage 3 motherboard.
