The FC8 Evo case from Streacom has a very clean, professional look and is ideal for people which want absolute silence when working at their PC. The installation instructions are explained with both photos and text and if we are patient, there should be no issues. Also, there are plenty of additional accessories that can be bought from them like the slot-loading optical drive, USB 3.0 cable or IR sensor + remote.

A Closer Look Part VII

Next, we have one last missing piece of the puzzle, the IR sensor:

 

 

 

Besides the sensor, we will also get a Media Center remote:

 

 

 

The IR sensor PCB comes with one USB connector, one for power and also one for connecting the wire from the power button:

 

 

 

 

The Media Center remote will help us navigate through related applications:

 

 

 

The back side of the remote must be removed in order to attach the supplied batteries:

 

 

 

 

The remote works with not one but two CR2032 batteries, which is a really common model:

 

 

 

The IR sensor PCB will be installed in the designed space, with two screws; as you can see, the connectors and wires are placed on top and because of this kind of placement, they will make the installation of the top metallic frame a little difficult:

 

 

 

Even with the optical drive cable connected, the lateral side of the case is not overcrowded:
